The Orphan's Cry Joins Hands with The Maasai Trust

Together, We Can Save Lives!

EMERGENCY ALERT

Maasai Lifeline at Risk

The Orphans Cry partners with The Maasai Trust, a Kenyan Charitable Trust and an approved non-profit by the Kenya Revenue Authority, to address the severe drought facing the Maasai people—the worst in 75 years. The Maasai, Kenya’s smallest tribe of 1.1 million, are in dire need of assistance.

The Crisis Unfolds

Since 2019, the “Drought of the Burning Sun” as the Maasai call it, has had devastating effects in Kenya and Tanzania, leading to the loss of over 120,000 lives and nearly 90% of the Maasai’s livestock. The “NGO Safety Net” and other traditional support systems have failed amidst global crises, leaving the Maasai fighting for their lives without the aid they desperately need.

Our Mission of Hope?

In response, Dr. Ron Clark and his wife Ronda, Presidents of The Orphans Cry, Inc., live in Kenya and have been providing humanitarian assistance in Kenya for the past 10 years. Maasai elders reached out to Dr. Ron and asked him to help them create “The Maasai Trust”. In partnership with Archbishop Dr. Charles Travis and the Logos Global Network, along with other partners, efforts have been ongoing to raise funds in the United States to help the Maasai form the charitable trust. As a result of the generosity of many, crucial aid donated, the trust was created and approved by the Kenyan government and is now ready to receive donations to help prevent the loss of an additional 100,000 Maasai lives. Your tax-deductible donation from the United States can be made here [Donate]. The Orphans Cry has committed to forward 100% of the donations to The Maasai Trust.
